About

Big D Local 161 is an independent hometown news site for Dallas, Fort Worth and North Texas. We pull together the day’s North Texas headlines from the newsrooms that report them and pair them with live local data.

Headlines on Big D Local 161 come from a licensed news API (Mediastack) and Google News, and every one links to the outlet that reported it. Live panels for weather, water, housing and travel are built from public data, credited where they appear. Alongside the news we publish announcements from businesses and organizations, clearly labeled as press releases.

Big D Local 161 is part of StateSync Recorder Media.
